CARBON LITERACY TRAINING

WITH

WHAT IS CARBON LITERACY?

Carbon Literacy® is a term used to describe an awareness of climate change, and the climate impacts of mankind’s everyday actions. The term has had occasional use in scientific literature and casual usage but now is exclusively associated with The Carbon Literacy Project.

Our carbon partners ecollective have developed Carbon Literacy training exclusively for the travel industry. This in depth training aims to increase the knowledge and capacity required to create a positive shift in how our industry responds to the climate crisis.

  • Companies whose employees have taken Carbon Literacy training achieve an estimated 5-15% reduction in their carbon emissions

THE TRAINING

A comprehensive 8-hour accredited course, hosted exclusively for members of The Conscious Travel Foundation by ecollective at Google UK in London. During this travel industry specific training, participants will develop the skills to identify and deliver climate action for your business.

ABOUT THE COURSE

THE EVIDENCE

Within 14 days of training, each participant is required to submit an evidence form in order to achieve certification. Your evidence includes at least one significant action within your individual control, and a significant group or company action that works to reduce the carbon footprint of your business.

THE CERTIFICATION

By completing a day’s worth of Carbon Literacy training and submitting your evidence form, you will become certified as ‘Carbon Literate’. Businesses that have a Carbon Literate workforce (where all staff members have been certified) will be accredited as a ‘Carbon Literate Organisation’.
